(This is the eighth and
final question in the Scavenger Hunt.)

What's it all about?

Candice has devised a Scavenger Hunt that will last from Valentine's Day 2005 to Valentine's Day 2006. On certain holidays in between, a new question will be posted, with a total of eight questions in all.

The information to answer each question can be found somewhere on this website -- maybe the Regency Glossary or a "collections" article or a Behind the Scenes page for a particular book or the FAQs or just about anywhere. Each question will give you a hint as to where to find the answer, but you will have to do a bit of sleuthing. All questions will remain posted, so if you miss the beginning of the Hunt, you can still catch up.

Candice will track the progress of each player all year long right on this page. Check back shortly after the second clue is posted to see how you, and others, are doing.

On Valentine's Day 2006, a Grand Prize will be awarded to one lucky winner selected from those who have answered all eight questions correctly.

Good luck, and have fun!

Candice had a different working title for Her Scandalous Affair.

What was the manuscript's original title?

Grand Prize
to be awarded on Valentine's Day 2006:

»» You must enter a separate form in response to each question. At the end of the Scavenger Hunt, you must have submitted a form for each of the eight questions in order to be eligible to win the Grand Prize. Don't worry if you can't remember whether you submitted forms for previous questions. Check the Progress Report to see which questions you've answered.
»» If you miss a month, don’t worry, you can make it up any time (before the end of the Hunt). Questions will remain posted, and no answers will be posted until Valentine's Day, 2006.
»» You must include ALL pieces of information on the form, or your entry isn't complete. International entries are also accepted, but again, you must include all the requested information.
»» The winning entry for the Grand Prize and for each special interim prize will be selected at random from the pool of correct entries.
»» Entering the Scavenger Hunt does not enter you into Candice's regular reader contest, but you are welcome to enter both!
»» All contest entrants will be automatically subscribed to Candice's no-spam, advertisement-free e-newsletter. For more information about the e-newsletter click here.

Answer to selected question:

Candice will track your Scavenger Hunt progress all year long. Look for your name in the chart below (alphabetic by first name). The color squares show the questions you have answered. (NOTE: It does not necessarily indicate a correct answer, however! Only that you have submitted an answer.) Your answers will be updated on this report no longer than 2 weeks after submitted. If you don't see your name or one of your answers listed, feel free to re-submit. But please give Candice at least 2 weeks to update the report. Remember, too, that your name might not be listed if your entry was incomplete. Be sure to fill out all the information on the form.

NOTE: A "W" inside a colored box means that person was the winner of the special interim prize associated with that question.
